1. Overlap joints
Make sure that the two adjacent vents have enough overlap width. It is generally recommended that the overlap width should not be less than 80 mm.
Overlap the upper membrane on the lower membrane to form an overlap.
2. Use special tape
Choose a special tape that matches the material of the vents.
At the overlap, stick the tape flatly and tightly on the overlap of the two membranes, making sure that the tape covers the entire overlap area and there are no bubbles or wrinkles.
3. Sealing treatment
Before sticking the tape, you can apply a layer of sealant on the overlap to enhance the sealing effect.
The sealant should be applied evenly to avoid missing or accumulation.
4. Check the quality of the joints
After the joints are completed, carefully check whether the joints are tightly sealed, and whether there are gaps, openings or places where the tape is not firmly pasted.
