How to judge whether the quality of Vents is up to standard?

1. Material and process
High-quality Vents usually use high-performance polymer materials, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), etc. Check whether the texture of the material is uniform, delicate, and free of obvious impurities and defects.
Understand the production process, such as advanced spunbond, meltblown or coating process. Products with excellent process are usually more reliable in quality.
2. Waterproof performance
Perform a hydrostatic pressure test, place the membrane under a certain water pressure, and observe at what pressure water seepage occurs. High-quality Vents should be able to withstand high water pressure without water seepage.
You can perform a water splashing test to simulate the impact of rainwater to see if the membrane surface can effectively prevent water from penetrating.
3. Breathability
Measure the water vapor permeability, which is a key indicator for measuring breathability. The permeability should meet the standards claimed by the product.
Feel the breathability of the membrane by hand. Although this method is not accurate enough, it can preliminarily judge its breathability.
4. Tensile strength and tear resistance
Perform a tensile test to check the tensile strength and elongation at break of the film when subjected to stress. The film with high strength and moderate elongation has better quality.
Test the tear resistance. The film that is not easy to tear has better quality.
5. Dimensional stability
Observe the dimensional changes of the film under different temperature and humidity conditions. The film with good dimensional stability is not easy to deform during use.
6. Appearance inspection
The surface of the film should be flat and smooth, without obvious wrinkles, bubbles, pinholes and damage.
The color should be uniform and consistent without obvious color difference.
7. Brand and certification
Choose products from well-known brands. Generally speaking, well-known brands are more stringent in quality control.
Check whether the product has relevant quality certifications, such as ISO certification, industry standard certification, etc.
