1. Installation preparation
First confirm whether the waterproof and breathable valve used meets the requirements, and check whether there are quality problems. Then prepare the necessary tools: electric drill, wrench, level, pen, glue, etc.
2. Measure hole size
Determine the size of the hole according to the size and shape of the purchased waterproof and breathable valve. Before determining the specific location of the hole, it is best to use a level to correct the horizontal line to ensure that the waterproof and breathable valve is level after installation.
3. Drilling
When using an electric drill to drill holes, ensure that the depth, shape, and size of the hole match the purchased waterproof and breathable valve. Pay attention to the depth of the hole, so that the depth of the hole is slightly longer than the length of the waterproof and breathable valve to be installed.
4. Clean holes
Remove the dust and debris from the hole, and make sure there is enough space for the waterproof breather valve in the hole.
5. Pretreatment waterproof breathable valve
Pre-wash the vent with water or wipe to remove dust and dirt. Once the waterproof and breathable valve is attached to the wall, it is not easy to separate, so the dust must be completely removed.
6. Install the waterproof breathable valve
Place the waterproof and breathable valve in the hole, and tighten the screws by hand to fix it. Pay attention to the moderate force and do not overtighten the screws. Glue can be applied around the screw if additional sealing is desired.
7. Test the waterproof breathable valve
After installing the waterproof and breathable valve, carry out the sealing test and inspection. Grout can be applied around the waterproof vent valve to ensure sealing performance.
