How do vents regulate the temperature inside the car?

1. Bringing in outside air:
In the hot summer, by setting the air conditioning system to external circulation mode, the vents will bring in cooler air from the outside to help cool the temperature inside the car.
The air conditioning compressor can further cool this outside air, and then deliver the cool air into the interior of the car through the vents.
2. Exhausting hot air:
The hot air inside the car is discharged outside the car through the air outlet, which helps to cool the temperature inside the car.
When the temperature inside the car is higher than outside, the hot air naturally flows from the high-pressure area (inside the car) to the low-pressure area (outside the car) and is discharged through the vents.

For example, in winter, the system can use more circulating air in the car to keep warm; in summer, it introduces more outside air to provide coolness.

Temperature sensors monitor the temperature inside the vehicle and provide feedback to the air conditioning control system for precise temperature regulation.
5. Airflow distribution:
The position and direction of the vents can be adjusted to optimize air flow and ensure uniform temperature in all areas of the vehicle.
For example, some vehicles are equipped with foot vents that can deliver warm air to the feet of passengers to improve comfort.
6. Heating function:
In cold weather, the air conditioning system can use the engine's waste heat to heat the air, and then deliver the hot air into the interior of the vehicle through the vents to increase the temperature inside the vehicle.
7. Defogging function:
When the windows are fogged, the air conditioning system can quickly remove the fog by adjusting the airflow direction of the vents to blow dry air directly to the windshield.
